Colorado’s most popular venues/ teams:

  • Coors Field – This is the home field of the Colorado Rockies, Denver’s team in Major League Baseball (MLB). It is located on Blake Street. Some of the most notable MLB events held here include victories of the Rockies over: the San Diego Padres (July 9, 2005); the San Francisco Giants (June 11, 2008); and the Washington Nationals (July 6, 2009). The 3rd and 4th games of the 2007 World Series (won by the Boston Red Sox over the Rockies) were also held here.
  • Dick’s Sporting Goods Park – This stadium is home to the Colorado Rapids, Denver’s team in Major League Soccer (MLS). It is located in Commerce City. Some of the notable sporting events held here were the 2007 MLS All-Star Game, the 2009 Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association National Championships, and the qualifying match between the United States and Guatemala for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
  • Invesco Field – This stadium is home to the Denver Broncos, Denver’s team in the National Football League (NFL). It is located in Mile High Stadium Circle West. Notable sporting events held here include the 2005 Major League Lacrosse All-Star Game, the 2006 AFC Championship Game, and the 2009 Thanksgiving game between the Broncos and the New York Giants.
  • Pepsi Center – This arena is home to three Denver sports teams: the Denver Nuggets (NBA), the Colorado Avalanche (NHL), and the Colorado Mammoth (NLL). It is located in Chopper Circle. The 2001 NHL All-Star Game, the 2001 Stanley Cup, and the 2005 NBA All-Star Game are some of the most memorable sporting events held here.
